Dear members and visitors,

Please be patient with our new website. We recently migrated to a different format and much of our previous info was lost in the transition. We are working diligently to recover all lost information. This new format will be easier to navigate, find information and keep updated with the latest news for you.

Thank you for your understanding during this time,

We just received confirmation per Fire Chief Aubrey D. Jenkins, that all 5 Richland County units (Engines 14, 24, 31, 32, & 33) that have been riding short for the last 8 months will return to full staffing! Beginning Saturday, August 10th at 0745hrs, 4 firefighters (instead of 3) will be responding to emergency calls on the above mentioned units. This will allow the Columbia-Richland Fire Department to again serve the public at a safer, more efficient level that we NEVER should have gone away from in the first place.

Thank you to everyone who liked, commented and shared our posts to help spread the word!! Without all of you we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish this! Together we are strong! Together we have a voice that is loud enough to be heard!

Victory! Great job!

Great work!

So happy to know this problem is being solved! This is a contract, a written agreement that the City and County govnmts would fund the Fire Dept to cover all of Richland County AND the City. Be responsible! This effects lives is so many ways!

Outstanding

Congrats

Where are they finding the extra personnel to put out in the County , and when are they going to fully staff the county rescues to 4 and not 3

Excellent!!!

Glad it worked! Still sucks it took 8 months.
