Support the Columbia Firefighters Association

If you would like to commend a firefighter for their actions, we would love to provide a way for you to thank and encourage them. In a career where they witness unspeakable tragedies and endure stresses that are difficult to comprehend, recognizing our firefighters’ dedication and good work ethic can truly help reassure them during the most challenging days and remind them of the citizens whom they are serving. 

Union members of IAFF Local 793 who receive commendations are eligible for our annual Firefighter of the Year awards for the corresponding year their commendations were received. Non-union members in our department can still be recognized and applauded for their good work submitted to us via commendations, even though they are not eligible for those official awards.
